Security Notes & Reminders
Depending on Force Protection measures in effect, vehicles may be randomly selected for inspection.
Show your government-issued photo ID when entering the base. This includes all passengers in vehicles. Seatbelts are mandatory in Washington and while aboard NAS Whidbey Island. Drivers may not use handheld electronics while operating a vehicle.
For your personal safety and OPSEC, the base theater will be inspected each morning by Security personnel prior to being cleared for EW Symposium use.
Use of electronic equipment including cellular phones, personal digital assistants (PDA), wireless email devices (Blackberry), cameras or audio/visual recording devices is strictly prohibited. Backpacks, book bags, attaches and other baggage may not be carried into EW Symposium sessions (purses or notebooks are OK). Packages and purses are subject to search.
We encourage you to leave nonessential items in your lodging or locked out-of-sight in your vehicle. Sentries at the theatre will be politely checking to prevent prohibited items from entering EW Symposium venues.
EW Symposium is not responsible for loss or damage of property. Please lock it up securely.
