Welcome to the Prowler Roost!

Located at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, the Navy's Center of Excellence
for Electronic Warfare and Information Operations

Roost gathering on September 15th.

Commander William Dodge, CO, Navy Information Operations Command Whidbey Island (NIOC-WI)
joined some local Old Crows for lunch. Story and photos in Member News
.

Mr. George Fisher, one of the first Whidbey Island EW operators and original founder of our Prowler Roost Chapter is pictured at the right. We are fortunate so many of our original members still reside in the area and remain connected to the EW community.

Watching from his perch in the background is our Regional Director, Mr. Joe "JJ" Johnson.

The Prowler Roost was chartered in 1974 to provide a professional Electronic Warfare (EW) forum for the developing EA-6B
Prowler community. Since 1978 it has participated in all Prowler Symposiums and beginning in 1986 it provided support and sponsored administrative activities for registration and security for the Symposium.

Often called “Whidbey Roost” in recognition of the expanding field of EW and Information Operations (IO) to include our shipmates at NAS Whidbey Island, such as VQ-1 and VQ-2 with their very special EP-3E platform, Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Whidbey Island, and Aviation EW School (AVEWS). Similarly, the “Prowler Symposium” is often called the “EW Symposium”.
